A vintage office telephone handset from the 1930's/40's. It is a GPO (now British Telecom) 200 Type Office Exchange Bakelite System the dial, lever and buttons all work, it is mounted on bell set 39A, the handset and cord are intact and the power cord attaches to a junction box which is included.
The 200 Type telephone was introduced in 1934 and used for a number of years thereafter and it could make and answer exchange calls and talk to and transfer calls to extensions.
The telephone measures 23 x 22 x 21cm (9" x 8.7" x 8.27") and is heavy weighing 3.88kg (8.55lbs).
