Antique Tailboard camera, original and in very good condition and with a large number of accessory items. The camera is constructed of French polished walnut with all lacquered brass fittings. It is a 5 x7 inch Tailboard Camera made circa 1880, beautifully engineered and having been well cared for. There is a  Mother of Pearl plaque for "F. Jonte, 124 et 126 Rue LaFayette, Brevete S.G.D.G. Paris",  it comes with 4 off plate holders for spare plates, with a F. Jonte Rapid Rectilinear lens, a spare lens board, dark focussing hood, and a canvas carry case. The case has wear but all other items are in very good condition.
 
The camera measures 24 x 18 x 23cm (9.45" x 7.09" x 9.05") when open.
