Antique Trocar. Antique surgical instrument. Trocars are used to puncture areas in the body to release build ups of fluid or gas. This is a most unusual example and in excellent condition. Once used to puncture the top is designed to receive a rubber tube so that the fluid or gas can be directed to the appropriate container. The Trocar bears the mark "S" and it is housed in it's custom made glass container with the original cork.
The Trocar measures 8cm (3.15") in length.
